The Massachusetts Educational Opportunity Association is accepting new sponsors for our annual activities designed to help improve the educational opportunity and access of disadvantaged students.

The Massachusetts Educational Opportunity Association (MEOA), founded in 1984, is a non- profit, tax-exempt organization with 501(c)(3) status, made up of educators, policymakers, professionals in the private sector and other individuals committed to ensuring that secondary and post-secondary educational opportunities are appropriate and accessible to students from disadvantaged backgrounds.

MEOA membership is primarily made up of educators from Educational Talent Search, Upward Bound, Veterans Upward Bound, Math-Science Upward Bound, Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR-UP), Student Support Services, the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Program, and Educational Opportunity Centers. These programs serve approximately 35,000 low-income, disabled, and potential first-generation college students throughout Massachusetts. As you know, a lack of opportunity and access remain major issues in the Bay State. In order for our workforce, national standing, and global competitiveness to improve, we must work to make higher education more accessible to students who have typically not had the opportunity and preparation.

MEOA is committed to providing MA educators with the managerial, educational, personal, and networking tools, not only to continue providing excellent guidance and support, but also to develop professionally and help make a difference in this ever changing, cost-rising, educational environment. Some of our activities this year include professional development events; the MEOA Scholarship, which we increased to $750 for 4 students; a quarterly newsletter; and several other initiatives.

Do not miss out on the opportunity to help support educational opportunity in Massachusetts. Donating will provide you the chance to:
  • Reward disadvantaged students who are working hard to reach their goal of graduating from college
  • Gain visibility with numerous current and future consumers who can use and promote your products, services, etc.
  • Help meet the goals and mission of your organization
  • Win the gratitude of many in the education community throughout Massachusetts
  • Boost morale of your employees as you continue to help demonstrate your commitment to important causes

At the bottom of this page you will find the MEOA Contributor Categories detailing benefits our sponsors receive. To become an MEOA sponsor, contact Channa Srey at channa.srey@meoaonline.org.
