The goal of Upward Bound (UB) is to increase the rates at which participants enroll in and graduate from institutions of postsecondary education. UB serves high school students from low-income families and high school students from families in which neither parent holds a bachelor’s degree. Participants receive instruction in literature, composition, strengthen mathematics and science skills.  They live on college campuses in the summers as well as attending classes afterschool and on Saturdays during the academic year.
