In an effort to support the success of low-income and first generation college students as well as TRiO and Gear-Up staff MEOA offers three scholarship programs

2010 MEOA Student Scholarship Recipients
The MEOA Student Scholarship Program was created in 1988 to assist undergraduate students in their pursuit of higher education. We are pleased to announce the recipients of the 23rd annual Scholarship Award:

- Shelia Corsaro
- Arelis Dine
- Alexandra Rocheleau
- Thomas Russell
Five scholarships of $750.00 are awarded annually to eligible college students who have demonstrated the ability to overcome great obstacles and strive for educational excellence. The selection of recipients will represent the diversity of students, both traditional and non-traditional, that are served by the programs of MEOA members. This is in keeping with MEOA’s long time commitment to ensure that all individuals have access to an appropriate higher education. Typically applications become available in March, are due in May, and are awarded in October (at the MEOA Annual Conference). Download an application.
MEOA Member NEOA Leadership Institute
Every other year (or as funds allow) MEOA offers up to six $200 scholarships to MEOA members to attend the NEOA Leadership Institute. Leadership Institute Scholarship applications are due at the same time as applications to the institute. Details are announced to MEOA members via the listserv. COE Policy Seminar Scholarships
Every year MEOA offers scholarships to two MEOA Program Alumni to attend the COE Policy Seminar in Washington, DC which is typically held in March. Additionally, each year (as funds allow) MEOA offers a scholarship to one MEOA member to attend this seminar as well. These scholarships cover airfare, meals, and hotel costs (which may be shared with other MEOA members in attendance). Details are announced to MEOA members and alumni via the listserves (typically in January). For more information contact the MEOA President or Massachusetts NEOA State Liaison.
